This is the first in eight collections from my first solo exhibition "A Grand Day Out"
“The end of the pier”
This is a photographic study of one of our most famous British seaside resorts, Southport, and it’s pier.
The images are scans of the original Polaroid prints, and have not had any significant editing, other than dust removal. The rather surreal look and colours have been enhanced by using out of date film stock and much diffused lighting, as a result of heavy cloud cover, which is not too uncommon when holidaying in Britain.
Here is a place to rest and reflect. Please enjoy your stay.
